Vermont Kinship Care Kids - Relatives Raising Relatives Children

is still accepting applications for the
2011-2012 school year. It’s a rare opportunity, according to the
admissions director, Susan Kessler "It is such an amazing program—we
provide a consistent and caring environment for children whose families
are facing difficulties. We help each child to do their best."

For more than 115 years, Kurn Hattin's mission has been to provide a
home for children whose real home is in temporary need. Serving children
from a variety of backgrounds in first through eighth grade, the program
helps teach children to make appropriate choices and take responsibility
for their actions.

Kurn Hattin serves boys and girls, ages 6-14, who are:
• within three years of grade level.
• without serious learning disabilities.
• physically able to participate in the program.
• capable of emotional stability.
• able to control aggressive behavior.

Admission is never denied for financial reasons. Please call to discuss
whether Kurn Hattin can benefit a child you know. For more information,
an application, or to schedule a tour, please call the admissions office
at (802) 721-6932 or visit
